NC Police Officer Shot In Line of Duty Dies

SHELBY, N.C. (WCCB) — The Shelby police officer who was shot over the weekend has died, according to the chief of police.

Officer Tim Brackeen was shot Saturday while looking for a suspect on outstanding warrants. Brackeen died at 11:42 am at Carolinas Medical Center. He was a 12-year veteran of the department.

Police are still searching for the accused shooter, 23-year-old Irving Fenner Jr.
