RCSD: Wanted Robbery Suspect Demanded Money From Safe

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies are seeking the public’s help locating a robbery suspect.

Authorities with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department say the suspect entered the IGA located at 135 Blythewood Road on September 11, presented a handgun and demanded money from the safe.

The suspect allegedly got away with an undetermined amount of money and an employee’s cell phone.

The victim was not injured during the incident, police say.

Authorities describe the suspect as a black male in his late 30’s to early 40’s.

He was last seen with wearing a camouflage hat, navy blue long sleeve shirt, khaki pants, and black shoes.
