Clyburn being sworn in for second FCC term

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Charleston native Mignon Clyburn is being sworn in for her second term as a member of the Federal Communications Commission. Clyburn is being sworn in on Saturday in a ceremony at Charleston City Hall. Clyburn is the daughter of South Carolina 6th District U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn. She was confirmed for another four-year term by the Senate on Jan. 1 after she was re-nominated by President Barack Obama. She says she’s looking forward to continuing her work with the commission to improve the nation’s communication policies.
