Coroner identifies man who disappeared in Lake Carolina waters
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man who disappeared in Lake Carolina while kayaking on Thursday, say the coroner’s office.
Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has identified the person as 41-year-old Daniel M. Larson.
Larson’s body was discovered in Lake Carolina on Thursday, March 14, after overturning at the lake, says a spokesperson for the fire department.
Columbia Fire Department and Department of Natural Resources spent hours searching for him after he did not resurface.
Officials say after hours of searching crews discovered his body in the Northeast Columbia area of Richland County.
