Man arrested after joint investigation in Sumter County, say deputies
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)–A Midlands man was arrested after a joint investigation in Sumter County on Wednesday, said the sheriff’s office.
Investigators say while serving a search warrant at a home in the St. Paul’s Church Road area more than eight pounds of methamphetamine was found.
Also, large quantities of cutting agents, a pill press, two firearms, and other drug paraphernalia was found, say deputies.
Investigators say Blake Rashed is accused of being in possession of the items for the purpose of trafficking them.
Rashed was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and given a $110,000.00 surety bond.
He was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and a felon in possession of a weapon.
