Lexington County coroner identifies pedestrian who died after collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the name of the individual who died in a collision in the Cayce area of Lexington County, say the coroner’s office.

According to Coroner Fisher, Brett Sterling Lamb, 40, of Cayce was walking across Charleston Highway when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound around 8:20 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024.

The collision happened in the 2400 block of Charleston Highway.

Lamb was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries he received from the collision. Officials say the driver remained at the scene.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Cayce Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.
