Local Living: Spring Litter Pick-up, March Madness adoption special, Columbia International Festival

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s Look at Local Living, Kershaw County is hosting a Spring Litter Pick-up.

Churches, community organizations and citizens will come together to help keep Kershaw County clean.

The event is on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Anyone wanting take part must email the Kershaw county Clean Community Commission to register.

 

Columbia Animal Services is celebrating March Madness with an adoption special.

From now until the end of the tournaments on Monday, April 8, all adoption fees will be waived.

You can see all the pets up for adoption at the shelter on Humane Lane.

 

Get ready to travel around the world right here in the Midlands.

The Columbia International Festival is back on April 6 and April 7 at the state fairgrounds.

The event brings together music, food and culture from all over the world.

Pre-sale tickets at $7 for adults, $4 for teens and free for kids 12 and under. Parking is also $5.
