LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lee County deputies say they received a call of a possible bank robbery at a credit union that turned out to be ‘practical joke’.

On Monday, March 25, Keith L. Durant was taken into custody and interviewed which led investigators to believe the incident was a ‘practical joke’.

Investigators say Durant had no weapon and no intention of robbing the credit union. But instead he was there to try to open a bank account.

Durant was arrested and taken to the Sumter County Detention Center.
