RCSD mounted patrol horse dies
Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Officials with the Richland Co. Sheriff’s Dept. say one of the department’s mounted patrol horses has died.
Deputies say Naked was 29 and had served with RCSD for the past 10 years with her partner Deputy Clifford Fisher.
Officials say Naked, who was a fixture at community events like “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” and the Blythewood Rodeo, died of medical complications Wednesday.
Deputies say the horse was named Naked because the department would often use the line, “Come see Sheriff Lott ride Naked”.
