Severe weather causes trees to fall onto homes in the Midlands

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Today’s severe weather caused trees to fall onto two homes in the Midlands overnight.

Columbia-Richland Fire Department says a tree fell onto one home on Barhamville Road before 6 this morning.

Officials say one person was being checked out for injuries.

In West Columbia, authorities say a tree fell onto a home on Meadow Wood Drive overnight.

So far, there are no reports of any injuries.
