Richland County deputies warning residents of phone scam
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Deputies are warning people of a phone scam involving a “third party monitoring company”, said the department.
RCSD said the “third party monitoring company” is contacting family members on behalf of RCSD and the jail.
And claiming that the victim’s loved one will be released on an ankle monitoring system if the victim pays for the monitoring system now.
Anyone who receives the scam call and the person requests a payment, is asked to call the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
