Former SCDJJ employees arrested for providing contraband to youth

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– According to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, two former employees have been charged with misconduct in office.

Arrest warrants say that while serving as a juvenile correctional officers with SCDJJ Cash and Howard knowingly and willingly providing youth with contraband.

Also Cash is accused of receiving funds to provide youth with contraband.

DJJ officials say Cash turned herself in at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Wednesday morning and Howard turned herself in on Thursday morning.
