Local Living: Columbia International Festival ticket giveaway, Black culinary traditions in SC, Tartan Day South

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, ABC Columbia is hosting a ticket giveaway for the upcoming Columbia International Festival.

You can enter to win 1 of 6 family prize packs of 4 tickets.

The festival is on Saturday and Sunday at the state fairgrounds.

 

The state museum is hosting a special event to honor black culinary traditions in South Carolina.

Rising Culinary Artist Amethyst Ganaway will prepare samples and talk about the importance of tradition.

The event takes place on Saturday, May 18, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $50 for the general public and $40 for members.

 

The Tartan Day South celebration is back in the Midlands.

The free kick-off party starts tonight at 7 a.m. at Steel Hands Brewing in Cayce.

Tomorrow the Celtic Concert starts at 6 p.m. at the Icehouse Amphitheater.

On Saturday, you can enjoy the Celtic Festival and several highland games at the Historic Columbia Speedway.

And the free Kirkin’ of the Tartans event starts Sunday at 11 a.m. at the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater.
