Gamecocks celebrate national win with homecoming at Colonial Life Arena

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The University of South Carolina Women’s Basketball team was welcomed back home with a celebration for their women’s basketball team.

The welcome home celebration was held at Colonial Life Arena around 2 p.m. but doors opened around 12:30 p.m so fans could celebrate with the team.

On Sunday, the Gamecocks won against the Iowa Hawkeyes with an 87-75 win in the NCAA championship.

The team is celebrating its third NCAA National Championship with its fans as they returned home to Columbia.
