Former SCDJJ employees accused of having inappropriate relationships with youth
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Two former SCDJJ Juvenile Correctional Officers were arrested for misconduct in office, says SCDJJ.
SCDJJ says while working at the Broad River Road Complex (BRRC), Sadarius Williams, 40, of Columbia communicated with a juvenile under the care of SCDJJ through a contraband phone.
Also, Williams provided her personal contact information and communicated with the youth through text and phone calls which constitutes the crime of misconduct in office.
SCDJJ Director of Communications & Public Information Michelle F. Foster says Kadijah Holloman, 30, of Columbia was charged with misconduct in office and sexual misconduct after an investigation revealed she had an inappropriate relationship with a youth at BRRC.
Both Williams and Holloman turned themselves in at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Monday.
