Officers investigating a suspicious death, body found inside garbage can

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Officers with the Columbia Police Department are investigating a suspicious death, said the department.

Law enforcement says a woman, later identified as Dominique Polmero-Pohl, was found dead inside a garbage can behind the Q-Mart at the intersection of Colonial Dr. & Academy St. shortly before 10 o’clock this morning.

Investigators are questioning a male person of interest to determine what information he may have regarding the death.
