Carolina Squat warning ends in May
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The warning period for drivers with squatted vehicles ends on May 9.
According to state law, drivers will not be allowed to have a vehicle where the front or rear fender is raised four or more inches higher than the other.
Law enforcement will begin issuing citations after the warning period. The first offense is a misdemeanor and will result in a $100 fine.
On the third offense, violations will be fined $300 and lose their driving privileges for one year.
