Benedict Climbs One Spot In HSRN Football Poll
HARTLY, Del. – Despite losing to Division I Gardner-Webb last week, the Benedict College Tigers football team moved up one spot in this week’s Division II/NAIA football poll by the Heritage Sports Radio Network.
The Tigers received 19 points in this week’s poll to move into ninth place.
Benedict is one of five SIAC teams in this week’s poll. Tuskegee was a near-unanimous choice at No. 1, followed by five teams from the CIAA. Albany State is seventh, followed by Miles, Benedict and Clark Atlanta, which debuts in the poll following last week’s thrilling one-point victory over Morehouse. Lane, who Benedict faces on Saturday, received votes.
