Downed electrical line causes house fire, say firefighters
LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Bishopville home caught on fire after a falling tree caused an electrical line to fall down on Monday, say firefighters.
Firefighters with the Lee County Fire Department say they responded to a home in the 300 block of Baskin Avenue that had moderate smoke and fire coming from the attic.
The home was occupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Fire officials say after an investigation, the cause of fire was determined to be caused by an electrical line down due to a tree falling.
