SC State enforces ID checks for entry onto campus
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– Beginning on Wednesday anyone attempting to enter South Carolina State University’s campus is required to show ID at the gate.
School officials say the new rule enforced on Wednesday, April 17, includes students and employees also.
Anyone who cannot locate their university-issued ID card can get a new card at the OneCard office in the University Computer and Information Technology Services complex in the Crawford-Zimmerman Building.
Each visitor must display a driver’s license or other government-issued identification.
The university asks that anyone entering the campus to have their identification ready for display when approaching the gate as to prevent traffic jams.
