LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)–  The Lee County Fire Department was alerted by the Lee County Central Communications to a commercial fire alarm activation at Crown Laundry around 2:30 a.m.

On Monday morning, April 22, firefighters found smoking coming from the Crown Laundry in Bishopville. The facility was not operational at the time of the fire.

There were no injuries reported, and after an investigation it was determined that the fire started unintentionally in a laundry cart that spread to several others.
