Camden man arrested on 15 child sexual abuse material charges

 

CAMDEN, S.C. (WOLO)–  South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of a Camden man in relation to 15 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office says 22-year-old Derek James Pettus was arrested on Thursday, April 18, after they received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Pettus is accused of distributing and possessing files of child sexual abuse material.

He was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
