City of Columbia Touch-A-Truck event this Saturday

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Join the City of Columbia’s Public Works Department at the Soda City Market this Saturday for their 2nd Touch-A-Truck event!

This family friendly event is a blast for kids, who get to see and learn about the fleet of vehicles that help the City of Columbia run smoothly, as well as witness several demonstrations.

You’ll find the fleet, including firetrucks, garbage trucks, police cars, and even the police bomb squad robot, all on the 1700 block of Main Street, right across from City Hall, from 9am to 1pm.

The event kicks off Public Works Week next week to honor and celebrate the city’s unsung heroes who keep the water running, the traffic flowing, the potholes patched, the garbage picked up, and everything in between!
