Columbia VA HCS’ 14th Annual 2K for homeless veterans starts Friday, May 17

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Columbia VA Health Care System is hosting a free annual event to help benefit homeless veterans this month!

The 14th annual VA2K Walk & Roll event kicks off Friday, May 17 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

It takes place at three locations listed below:

  • Dorn VAMC @ 6439 Garners Ferry Road – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (at the walking track across from Bldg. 106)
  • Sumter VA Clinic @ 245 North Bultman Drive – 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Anderson VA Clinic @ 3030 North Highway 81 – Noon to 2 p.m.

Curtis spoke with Kathleen Doherty, 2K Coordinator, about how this event supports the Whole Health Movement & homeless veterans.

She says they will be collecting donations for homeless veterans at each location.
