Power loss, school delayed by 2 hours, trees down after tornado traveled through Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County officials say several homes and trees were down after a small tornado hit the county this morning.

Schools in the Fairfield County district operated on a 2-hour delay after a small tornado traveled from the west to the east in Fairfield County on Thursday morning.

County officials say multiple homes in were without power and a lot of trees were down but most have been cleared.
