1 person treated for smoke inhalation after house fire in Orangeburg County
ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person has been treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in Orangeburg County, says ODPS.
Orangeburg Department of Public Safety says bravo fire shift firefighters responded in the 1200 block of Belleville Road in reference to a reported fire.
When fire crews arrived to the scene they found the home with smoke and flames.
Everyone in the home was able to escape the fire before fire crews arrived to the scene.
ODPS says the fire was under control within 15 minutes and kept to two bedrooms with minor smoke damage throughout the structure.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation and the sheriff’s office assisted with blocking Belleville Road to protect water supply.
The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is classified as accidental at this time, according to Orangeburg Public Safety.
