Proposed Bill Aims to Crackdown on DUI’s

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — The goal is to put the brakes on repeat drunk drivers by using an interlock system in the car of anyone already convicted once or more of driving under the influence. Laura Hudson has been working alongside Karen and David Longstreet, who back in January of 2011 lost their 6 year old daughter Emma when their car was t-boned by a drunk driver as they headed to church. Hudson says she can’t imagine the pain they’ve been going through and is proud that the family has continued to fight to have this law passed. So far, Emma’s Law has passed in the Senate. It is slated to go before the house in 3 weeks.
