Prescription Drug Take Back in the Midlands

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Saturday Local law enforcement are taking part in Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Locations: City of Columbia Police #1 Justice Square Headquarters
The Department of Public Safety is holding its annual DEA Prescription Drug Take Saturday, October 22nd, from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
According to Public Safety officials, both CVS Pharmacy locations in Cayce will be hosting this event. Anyone with outdated or unwanted prescription medications can turn them in at either CVS Pharmacy location (2410 Charleston Highway or 500 Knox Abbott Drive). No liquids can be turned in.
On Saturday, October 22 from 10am to 2pm, the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office and the DEA will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
Bring your medications for disposal to the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office located at 550 Wilson Road, Newberry from 10am to 2pm.
