SC Hospital Association recognizing the contribution, accomplishments of hospital staff
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– During National Hospital Week, the South Carolina Hospital Association is reminding the public of the contribution and accomplishments of hospitals to the state.
Schipp Ames with the association says this week its important to recognize all healthcare workers not only doctors and nurses.
But all the departments within a hospital such as the engineering, supply chain, and lab technicians.
According to the association South Carolina hospitals have a $28 billion impact and employs 77 thousand workers and those numbers are growing.
This year the association is spending most of the week talking about workplace violence.
In partnership with Columbia Fireflies, the SC Hospital Association is offering discounted tickets and free hats to healthcare workers in the Midlands for the game this Friday.
