RCSD to honor fallen deputies

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff’s Department will honor their fallen deputies this week.

On Thursday afternoon, deputies will lay a wreath at their K9 memorial on Two Notch Road at 1 p.m. to honor K9 Fargo who was shot and killed in the line of duty in 2011.

K9 Kobe who was shot in March and survived will also be honored.

Also, on Friday, May 16, at 3 p.m. a portion of Bluff Road will be renamed after Deputy Jacob Salrin who was killed in a wreck last year.

This comes from a resolution the general assembly passed.
