Local Living: RCSD’s community day event, ODPS’s community resource fair, SC Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival, Columbia Black Expo

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–In today’s look at Local Living, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is hosting a community day event this Saturday.
It’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SC Criminal Justice Academy on Broad River Road.
There will be food trucks, a meet and greet with some of the deputies from On Patrol Live, along with K9 demonstrations, an interactive crime scene and much more.
The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety is hosting a community resource fair next week.
It takes place Saturday, may 18th from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Middleton Street.
There will be small business vendors, activities, free hot-dogs and more. Admission is free.
The 9th annual South Carolina Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival is back this weekend.
The event will feature the state’s most popular food trucks, along with dozens of regional and national craft breweries.
It takes place Saturday, May 18th from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the state fairgrounds.
The Columbia Black Expo also kicks off this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the state fairgrounds.
There will be exhibitions, products from several Black owned businesses and more.
You can also try several dishes at the Taste of the Black Expo on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Columbia Museum of Art.
