Coroner identifies person who died in tractor-trailer vs. bicycle collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a tractor-trailer vs. bicycle accident in the West Columbia, says the coroner’s office.

The collision happened in the 3600 block of Platt Springs Road at about 6:48 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

According to Coroner Fisher, Christopher David Razny, 45, of West Columbia was riding his bicycle eastbound on Platt Springs Road when a tractor-trailer also traveling eastbound collided with him.

Razny was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries he sustained during the collision.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, and the South Carolina Department of Public Safety MAIT are continuing to investigate the incident.
