New information has been released in the search for a missing monkey in Colleton County.

Colleton County Animal Services identified the monkey as Bradley, a 15-year-old Japanese macaque. He has lived in a habitat in Walterboro for almost six years.

According to animal services, Bradley escaped his habitat on May 23. As of May 26, he is still loose in the Walterboro area.

Anyone who sees Bradley is asked to keep their distance and call 843-898-6113.

Animal services says Bradley is not considered dangerous or aggressive to other people or animals, but he is a wild animal and caution should be used.
