Memorial Day travel on track to break all-time record

(CNN)– The TSA set a new record Friday for the most travelers screened in a single day.

The agency screened over 2.9 million people at checkpoints nationwide.

That surpassed its previous record from November 26 of last year, which was over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The agency also noted 5 of the top 10 busiest travel days in its history have occurred this year.
