U.S. home prices hit another record high in March

(CNN)– U.S. home prices hit a record high in March.

That’s according to the S&P National Home Price Index.

It found home prices across the country jumped 6.5% in March from a year earlier.

This is the sixth time the index has ruched a new record over the past year.

The high prices combined with lack of supply and elevated mortgage rates has resulted in a tough housing market, especially for first time buyers.
