ALABAMA– Crews in Alabama hope to have the Colonial Pipeline repaired by the weekend. Part of the pipeline was gutted after an explosion Tuesday.

Officials say a crew working a backhoe struck the pipeline.

With the damage and the repair, experts say there is the potential for gas problems in parts of the South.

The pipeline was repaired back in September, it caused gas prices to increase, but here in the Midlands we saw a slight jump of 8 cents.
