Waffle House raising its pay, prices
(CNN)– Waffle House announced it’s raising its pay and in some places, its prices.
Base pay for serves will rise to $3 an hour this month and they’ll eventually reach $5.25 an hour in 2 years.
For some employees, it will reach $6.25 in 2-and-a-half years and $7.25 in three years. There are no changes in how they get tips.
The boosts in salary for roughly 20 thousand Waffle House workers will be offset by menu price increases in markets that have higher costs of living.
