COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has some new wheels.

Monday afternoon, July 1, Sheriff Leon Lott unveiled the new vehicles that will be used by the department’s Community Action Team.

Sheriff Lott says the 2024 Mustangs will begin patrolling the community right away.

According to the department, the Community Action Team is a group of specialized, highly trained officers who use community oriented policing methods, to solve law enforcement problems that arise throughout the county.
