Woodland Terrace teen murder suspect extradited to Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia police have extradited a teenage suspect connected to a murder at the Woodland Terrace Apartments on July 4.

Officers say the 16-year-old turned himself in to authorities in Bibb County, Georgia last Friday.

According to investigators, an argument between acquaintances at the apartment complex on South Beltline Boulevard led to Dives Evans, 17, being shot and killed.

Police say the 16-year-old suspect will be charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime & possession of a weapon by a person under 18.

He’ll be held at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.
