SLED charging Saluda County man with criminal sexual conduct with a minor

SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Saluda County man is being charged in connection with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, said SLED.

Martavius Avery Andrews Griffin, 27, was charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor – victim under 11 years of age – 1st degree on Thursday, July 11.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said Griffin is accused of committing sexual battery with a minor who was 5 years old at the time the incident.

Investigators said the child disclosed the abuse after having pain in her vaginal area while bathing.

During a forensic interview, the victim said the incident happened before July 27, 2023.

Griffin is also accused of committing sexual battery with another victim who was 7 years old at the time of the incident that happened in the Summer of 2023.

He was booked at the Saluda County Detention Center.
