ODPS firefighters control rooftop fire at fast food restaurant

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)– The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety’s Fire Department says firefighters were able to control a Tuesday fire.

Firefighters responded to a rooftop fire at Hardee’s on John C Calhoun Drive.

Ladder 9 established roof operations and Engine 1 provided suppression support, says ODPS.

The fire was brought under control about 18 mins after firefighters arrived to the scene and no extension beyond a grease exhaust duct was found.

There are no injuries reported and the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
