Richland Co. Rec. Commissioner Resigns
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) — Another member of the Richland County Recreation Commission’s Board of Directors is stepping down.
Tuesday George Martin submitted a resignation letter to the governor’s office.
In the letter Martin sites personal family issues as the reason for his departure.
In an executive order Governor Haley called on members to resign ahead of Wednesday’s public hearing or make their case as to why they should not be fired.
The hearing will address accusations of what the governor calls acts of persistent neglect of duty.
