Gilbert Man Killed in Collision Friday

HOPKINS, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Coroner Gary Watts is releasing the name of the individual who was involved in a two-vehicle collision Friday morning at the intersection of Leesburg and Congress Roads, Hopkins, S.C.

Sean R. Wooten, 29 , of Hayes Crossing Road, Gilbert, was the restrained driver of a vehicle that collided with another vehicle.  Mr. Wooten was transported by Richland County EMS to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital ER where he died at 9:28 a.m.  An autopsy indicated the cause of death was due to blunt force trauma.

The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
