Tech issues delay student financial aid

(CNN)– Only weeks before classes begin, and another setback could delay financial aid for college students this fall.

On Tuesday, the Education Department said colleges will not be able to submit corrections in bulk to update students’ financial aid records.

It’s the latest setback in the launch of the new “free application for federal student aid” website.

Colleges have been waiting months to send batches of corrected records.

The Education Department said it will offer technical assistance to help schools with the process.
