Discrimination relief payments begin for farmers

(CNN)– The Biden Administration is sending out millions of dollars in relief checks to farmers who have faced discrimination.

43 thousand farmers are getting payments up to 500 thousand dollars to address inequity in farm loan programs.

This comes as a group of Black farmers sued, saying they should be able to file for assistance on behalf of their deceased relatives who faced discrimination.
