Duo Scammed Elderly Woman of $1K
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Deputies in Richland County are asking for help identifying two suspects wanted for scamming a 79-year-old woman out of $1,300.
The case dates back to October 27, at the Walmart located at 321 Killian Road when the suspects allegeldy convinced the victim to withdraw funds from an ATM with the promise of receiving a large amount of money in return, deputies say.
The suspects then went with the victim to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 8800 Farrow Road, where the victim withdrew additional funds, deputies say.
