Driver Dies After Crashing into home in Aiken County

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A driver was killed Sunday morning after crashing into a home in Aiken County.

Troopers said the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling northbound on Ascauga Lake Road at 7:22 a.m. when the car left the right side of the road way. The car hit a road sign, went through a fence , and then struck a house.

No one was home at the time of this collision, and no one else was injured, troopers said.

Troopers said the driver was wearing a seat belt and was trapped inside the Camaro for sometime.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating this crash.
