Child Struck in Hit and Run

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) — Columbia police continue searching for the driver of a car they say ran up on a sidewalk and struck a child Thursday evening. Authorities say the incident happened around 6pm in the 23 hundred block of two Notch Road while the child, only being described as a “minor” was walking with his mother.

Columbia police say the child has been transported to an area hospital but the condition of that child is still unknown.

Columbia Police are searching for a the driver of burgundy colored Dodge van with the SC license plate number K-Y-C-5-2-3. If you have information that can help police, call Crimestoppers at 1888- CRIME-SC.
