Interfaith Partners of SC Begin Harmony Month By Honoring Gov. Haley
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Interfaith Partners of South Carolina (IPSC) is celebrating Interfaith Harmony Month for the fifth year in the Palmetto State. This year, members of the group honored Governor Haley with an award for her support of their efforts. Haley’s parents accepted the award on her behalf.
The network is made up of representatives from 10 different faith-based and religious groups around the state.
IPSC told ABC Columbia they will hold events throughout the month of January and end the events in February to coincide with the United Nation’s World “Interfaith Harmony Week.” Leaders said the events are meant to promote peace within the community.
