COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A Lexington elementary school teacher is celebrating the new year with a new children’s book.
Deerfield Elementary 1st grade teacher Lauren Dasher, who grew up in Columbia, is the author of “Freddy Frog and His Adventure.” Dasher wrote the book when she was 13, and has been holding on to the manuscript ever since. The paper book is geared toward kids, ages four through nine.
Good Morning Columbia’s Grace Joyal sat down with the Hammond School graduate to talk about her success.
The book, which addresses the important topic of “stranger danger”, is available here.
